When the 54-year-old British-Turkish gangster movie star announced that members of his family were missing among the rubble from the earthquakes that have killed over 21,000 people in Turkey and Syria, he expressed concern for the worst earlier this week.

The Football Factory star, who is currently in Cyrpus, received the joyful news that his loved ones had finally been located early on Thursday morning.

‘We were told that they were found and they’re safe and well, by the grace of God.”

“So thank you for everyone’s prayers and well-wishes,” Tamer added on the breakfast news program. “We don’t have too much information now, but they have been located, which is great.”

Earlier this week, the actor, who is also the father of Love Island star Belle, told Sky News:

“We have family missing. Due to the cold weather, we’re not hopeful… we’re quite worried. I have no words.

‘We’re all devastated. We have family that are lost. I’ll be heading to Turkey, we’re trying to find a route into the worst affected areas’.”

Tamer is now leading a campaign to raise £100,000 to help with the humanitarian crisis and explained to GB news that he hopes to travel over to Turkey from Cyrpus this weekend to lend his help.
