Dennard Wilson Wife: Is Dennard Wilson Married?

The Philadelphia Eagles defensive backs coach and coordinator for the defensive passing game are Dennard Wilson (born March 31, 1982). He was a former National Football League safety who played American football, and the Washington Football Team signed him as a free agent in 2004. At the University of Maryland, where he played collegiate football, he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in communications.

Wilson is currently the Philadelphia Eagles’ Defensive Passing Game Coordinator / Defensive Backs Coach. Wilson is about to begin his 15th NFL season. Previously served as the defensive backs coach for the New York Jets for four seasons. In 2019, he was also named passing game coordinator.

Jamal Adams earned All-Pro and Pro Bowl honors after leading all NFL defensive backs in sacks and tackles for loss during the 2018 and 2019 seasons under Wilson’s tutelage. Wilson also spent five seasons as the head coach of the Los Angeles/St. Louis Rams.

Wilson appeared in 42 games and made 30 starts as a cornerback and safety for the Maryland Terrapins from 2000 to 2003. As a senior, he had 158 tackles and was named honorable All-ACC after leading the Terrapins with 12 pass defenses. Wilson was a four-year letterwinner for the Terps and a three-year starter at defensive back.

Wilson was an honorable mention All-ACC performer as a senior in 2003 as a team captain. Wilson signed as an undrafted free agent with the Washington Redskins in 2004, and spent time on their practice squad before suffering a season-ending injury.
