Tiki Barber, an American retired professional football player, was a running back for the New York Giants of the National Football League (NFL) for 10 seasons. He was born on April 7, 1975. He participated in collegiate football for the University of Virginia.

Barber spent his entire professional playing career with the Giants after being selected by them in the second round of the 1997 NFL Draft. Barber was the all-time leading rusher and receiver for the Giants when he announced his retirement from the NFL after the conclusion of the 2006 NFL postseason. 2011 saw Barber’s induction into the Virginia Sports Hall of Fame.

Following his playing career, Barber established himself in the national media, most notably by joining NBC’s The Today Show as a correspondent in 2007 and Football Night in America/Sunday Night Football.
