English actress Alexandra Louise Bastian (born February 27, 1982) is best known for playing Becky Clarke in the BBC soap opera Doctors and Becca Dean in the Channel 4 soap opera Hollyoaks. She has also played Sally Armstrong in the ITV drama series The Bill and Becca Dean in Hollyoaks. Also, she participated in the seventh season of Strictly Come Dancing.

Bastian has worked with Littlewoods on a new line called Drama Queens after being signed to Storm Models. In 2001, Bastian made her debut as Becca Dean on the Hollyoaks serial drama on Channel 4. She was part of a contentious plot in which her character had an affair with one of her students and as a result, was sacked from her teaching position and put in prison. Together with Jodi Albert and Sarah Jayne Dunn, she starred in the exercise video Hollyoaks Get Healthy in December 2005.

Bastian and Chris Fountain were the recipients of the Best Storyline honor at the 2006 British Soap Awards. In 2007, she left the television series. The following television shows starring Bastian were Here After, Twenty-Four-Seven, Cavegirl, and A Touch of Frost.
As PC Sally Armstrong, Bastian joined the venerable ITV police drama The Bill in 2007. She left in late 2009. Bastian competed on the seventh season of Strictly Come Dancing in 2009; she left the competition in the semifinal round while partnered with Brian Fortuna. She severely fractured the bones in her foot while training in week 11, but the medical staff gave her the all-clear to perform. Out of 16 couples, Bastian and Fortuna came in third place. 2009’s Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special saw the pair perform one more, and they took first place after receiving a score of 40/40 for their Viennese waltz.
