Who Is Thatcher Demko?

Thatcher Demko is an ice hockey goaltender for the Vancouver Canucks of the National Hockey League (NHL).

Born on December 8, 1995, in California, Demko began playing ice hockey at an early age of 4.

Demko was drafted by the Canucks as 36th overall in the second round of the 2014 NHL Entry Draft.

He played junior hockey with the LA Junior Kings, and later the Omaha Lancers of the United States Hockey League (USHL).

The NHL All-Star also took part in the World U-17 Hockey Challenge.

When he played at the 2013 IIHF World U18 Championships as a member of the U.S. national under-18 team, he won a Silver Medal.

In 2019, Demko signed a two-year contract extension worth $2.1 million with the Canucks.
