Charlie Daniels was an American singer, musician, and songwriter, who began his music career in the 1950s, and carved a niche for himself in the rock, country, blues and jazz music genres.
Daniels was famous for his country hit “The Devil Went Down to Georgia”, which ranked number one on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart.

Daniels released a number of albums including Night Hawks, and wrote a couple of books – a memoir titled Never Look at the Empty Seats, and a book of inspirational quotes and stories titled Let’s All Make the Day Count: The Everyday Wisdom of Charlie Daniels.
Before his demise, Daniels was a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame, the Cheyenne Frontier Days Hall of Fame, the Grand Ole Opry, the Musicians Hall of Fame and Museum, and the Country Music Hall of Fame.
Daniels passed away after suffering from hemorrhagic stroke on July 6, 2020. He was aged 83.
