Bryson was born in Modesto, California, in September 1993. In 2010, at the age of 16, he won the California Junior State Championship. He was just the fifth individual to win both the U.S. Amateur and NCAA Individual Championships in the same calendar year (2015). He received his degree in physics from Southern Methodist University. His analytical and scientific golfing methods earned him the moniker “The Scientist” among his fellow golfers.
