He was charged with making threats of a terrorist attack or mass shooting after law enforcement officials were made aware of exchanges on Discord and Snapchat where the child allegedly posted memes and used threatening language.
The memes displayed disturbing ideas about stealing a police officer’s gun and a warning about shooting up a crowded building.

He admitted sharing the memes when questioned by deputies but claimed he had no intentions of committing any violent acts.

His Snapchat account was searched with a warrant, and more alarming communications concerning threats against schools were found there. The boy’s name has been omitted out of respect for his privacy.
Feb. 9: “I want to shoot up the school.”
Feb. 12: “If I get a gun I’m gonna shoot up hnms lol” — an apparent reference to Holley Navarre Middle School, which the youth had previously attended.
Feb. 12: “I always keep a knife on me so maybe I’ll just stab ppl.”
Feb. 12: “…I have no hope in getting better, so why not kill the losers at school.”
