Actress Eliza Scanlen is from Australia and was born on January 6, 1999. She first gained notoriety as Tabitha Ford in the Australian serial opera Home and Away (2016) before winning praise for her portrayal of a damaged adolescent in the HBO miniseries Sharp Objects (2018).

As a young Eleanor Roosevelt, she played the role in the Showtime series The First Lady in 2022. The drama Babyteeth and Greta Gerwig’s historical drama Little Women, in which she had leading roles, marked her feature debut in 2019.

Scanlen was hired to play Tabitha Ford, a frequent character on the Home and Away television soap opera, when she was a high school student. In the short film Grace from 2018, Scanlen played the title role.
She then became well-known for her depiction as Amma Crellin in the HBO psychological suspense miniseries Sharp Objects, in which she co-stars with Amy Adams.
