Mike Peterson Maignan, a French professional footballer, was born in Cayenne, French Guiana, on July 3, 1995. His mother is of Haitian heritage, whilst his father is a native of Guadeloupe.

He currently participates in the Italian Serie A for France and AC Milan as a competent goalie. In honor of his skills as a goalkeeper, Maignan received the Serie A Best Goalkeeper award before the season’s final game on May 22, 2022.
Milan won their first league title since 2011 with a 3-0 victory over Sassuolo on that particular day, while Maignan recorded a season-high 17 clean sheets. Maignan has competed for France at all levels from under-16 to under-21, and at the 2012 European Championship in Slovenia, he was made captain of the under-17 team.
He received his first senior call-up in May 2019 ahead of the UEFA Euro 2020 qualifiers against Turkey and Andorra, as well as a friendly game against Bolivia.
