Irish actor and screenwriter Domhnall Gleeson was born on May 12, 1983. He has shared screen time in numerous movies and theatrical productions with his father, actor Brendan Gleeson. The Dublin Institute of Technology awarded him a Bachelor of Arts in Media Arts.

Early in his career, Gleeson wrote and directed a number of short films, received a Tony Award nomination in 2006 for his performance in the Broadway play The Lieutenant of Inishmore, and played a supporting role in the film Never Let Me Go.
