Albert del Rosario Sr. was a Filipino businessman, diplomat, and government official who lived from November 14, 1939, to April 18, 2023.

Albert del Rosario Sr. is well known for representing the Philippines in a case against China’s claim of the South China Sea under the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea. This was during his tenure as foreign minister.

Albert Ferreros del Rosario Sr. was born in Manila, Philippines to Luis del Rosario and Amparo Ferreros. He is a sibling of politician Joanne F. del Rosario.

He is an alumnus of Xavier High School and New York University. The late Albert del Rosario Sr. has a medical history of an undisclosed spinal medical condition. He underwent surgery in 2015 to treat whilst in the United States but it was unsuccessful.

The late Albert del Rosario Sr. was reported dead at 83 on 18th April 2023 while en route to San Francisco, California.
