The co-founder, main guitarist, lead singer, and lone surviving member of the rock group Status Quo is Francis Rossi.

Throughout the 1970s and 1980s, Status Quo continued to have a lot of success in the UK, Europe, Japan, Australia, and New Zealand.
Rossi authored and co-wrote a lot of their biggest successes, including “Caroline” and the band’s lone number one single, “Down Down,” and they served as the opening act for Live Aid in 1985.

Prior to Parfitt’s passing in 2016, Rossi and Parfitt were the only surviving founding members of the group. For a series of reunion gigs in 2013 and 2014, Rossi and Parfitt got back together with old Quo members Lancaster and Coghlan.
Status Quo have sold more than 128 million records globally throughout the course of their career.
