Spanish actress, Maribel Verdú will play the role of Nora Allen, mother of Barry Allen in the DC forthcoming superhero movie, The Flash.

The movie is set to release on June 16, 2023, and it features Ezra Miller as the main cast (Barry Allen). She was cast for the role in March 2021.

Born on October 2, 1970, Maribel Verdú started her career when she was just 13 years old. Her debut movie was released in 1985 titled Captain Sanchez’s Crime. Some of her earliest films also include; Lovers (1992) and Belle Epoque (1992). She also appeared in numerous commercials.

She dropped out of school when she was 15 to focus fully on her career. After starring in Lovers, she shared that she got numerous acting gigs. She worked with many talented directors including Jose Luis Garci in Cradle Song, Brigas Luna in Golden Balls, and Carreteras Secundarias with Academy Award-winner, Emilio Martinez-Lazaro.
Verdú starred in a music video in 2010 titled Lola Soledad (Lola Loneliness) by Alejandro Sanz, a 16-time Latin Grammy Award winner.
In 2022, she starred in two popular films, Raymond & Ray, and Historias para no contar. She also starred in a tv series dubbed Now and Then in 2022.
