The sudden passing of seasoned actor Mamukkoya has shocked the Malayalam cinema community and his followers. While serving as the principal guest at a football tournament’s opening ceremony, the actor had a heart attack and passed out.

He was sent to hospitals in Wandoor and Kozhikode immediately, but he died at the age of 76 from a heart attack and bleeding. A well-known name in the Malayalam cinema business, Mamukkoya was renowned for his distinctive flair and Mappila dialect.
