Miller attended Cane Ridge High School while a child growing up in Antioch, Tennessee.

During his junior season, he averaged 23.3 points, eight rebounds, 4.3 assists, 2.6 blocks, and 2.3 steals per game. He was also voted the Tennessee Gatorade Player of the Year.
After averaging 24.1 points, 8.5 rebounds, 4.3 assists, and 2.3 steals per game as a senior, Miller was selected Tennessee Mr. Basketball and won the Gatorade Player of the Year award once more.
He also participated in the McDonald’s All-American Game and the Jordan Brand Classic.

After averaging 20.3 points and 11 rebounds over the course of three games, Miller was awarded the Most Valuable Player of the 2023 SEC Men’s Basketball Tournament
In addition to his SEC-best 18.8 points per game average for the whole season, he also averaged 8.2 rebounds and 2.1 assists.
