Joseph was raised in College Station, Texas, and attended College Station High School for his secondary education.

He showed off his great football skills during his senior year, compiling 95 tackles, 10 passes broken up, and five interceptions, earning him Class 5A All-State honors.

Prior to changing his mind and signing with Northwestern University, Joseph had first committed to playing football at Texas Tech.

Joseph redshirted his first season and did not play in any games. But in his second season as a redshirt freshman, he turned in a breakthrough performance that brought him numerous honors and awards.

For a freshman, Joseph’s selection to the first-team All-Big Ten Conference is a remarkable accomplishment. He also received honors for being the conference’s Freshman of the Year.

He received widespread acclaim for his exceptional performance, and Pro Football Focus named him the nation’s top-strong safety. Joseph’s accomplishments in football are evidence of his extraordinary talent and commitment to the game.
