Reece Beekman is a college basketball player who plays as a point guard for the Virginia Cavaliers of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC).

Born on October 8, 2001, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Beekman played high school basketball at Scotlandville Magnet High School in Baton Rouge, where he was a four-star recruit and helped his team win back-to-back state championships.

Upon making his way to the University of Virginia, Beekman played in 27 games, starting in 18 of them as a freshman. He also averaged 4.7 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 2.8 assists per game and led his team to the NCAA Tournament.

Beekman is known for his strong defensive skills. In his sophomore year, he was named to the ACC All-Defensive Team and was an Honorable Mention All-ACC.

In 2020, he was awarded Louisiana Mr. Basketball, and in 2023, he won the ACC Defensive Player of the Year Award, and was named to the Third-team All-ACC.

The two-time All-State selection is also pursuing a degree in psychology at the University of Virginia.
