Jalen Hood-Schifino is an American who plays college basketball for the Indiana Hoosiers of the Big Ten Conference. He was born on June 19, 2003. He had previously played for Montverde Academy. Hood-Schifino was rated as the top Big Ten recruit for the class of 2022 and received a unanimous five-star rating.

In high school, Hood-Schifino participated in three different programs. At Charlotte, North Carolina’s Northside Christian Academy, he started his prep school career. Hood-Schifino participated in athletics at Combine Academy in Lincolnton, North Carolina, as a sophomore. Hood-Schifino transferred to Kevin Boyle’s Montverde Academy in Florida at the start of his junior season, which is a national powerhouse. Hood-Schifino won back-to-back GEICO High School Basketball National Championships at Montverde (2021 and 2022).
