German professional footballer Stefan Ortega who plays as a goalkeeper for Premier League club Manchester City commenced his football career at TSV Jahn Calden, KSV Baunatal, Hessen Kassel and Arminia Bielefeld youth system.
Ortega played four seasons for Arminia Bielefeld’s youth team before being promoted to the senior team in 2011.
After making his Arminia debut on October 1, 2011 against 1. FC Heidenheim, Ortega went ahead and had three-season stints with the club before joining TSV 1860 Munich on a free transfer in 2014.

Following the 2016–17 season, Munich went to relegation which made Ortega leave the club and transferred back to Arminia on a three-year contract, succeeding the outgoing Wolfgang Hesl.
Ortega played for Arminia from 2017 to 2022 before signing with Premier League champions Manchester City on a free transfer in June 2022.
