In previous interviews, he stated:
“I’m a Christian, but I don’t make Christian music. “You’re not going to reach everyone with just one point of view. I write about things I’m actually dealing with. You don’t have to be Christian to relate to them.”
Regardless of his own disclaimers, NF’s music has previously been on Christian music charts.
According to NF, one’s religious heritage does not have to be linked to one’s vocation.
“If you’re a Christian and you’re a plumber, are you a Christian plumber?” he quizzed in a CBN News interview.
Despite this, NF frequently incorporates Christian messages throughout his lyrics. In his 2017 single “I Live for the King,” he raps, “I don’t live for the world. I live for the King. I live for the King.”
He has also appeared on other Christian hip-hop projects, including Flame’s Royal Flush CD.
