Ray Stevens Children: Meet Timi and Suzy Ragsdale

American country and pop singer-songwriter and comedian Ray Stevens and his wife Penny Jackson are parents of two daughters  Suzi and Timi.

There is not much information about his daughter Timi, however, his daughter Suzanne “Suzi” Ragsdale is also a singer and songwriter. Besides her solo recordings, Ragsdale is known for her collaborations with Verlon Thompson and Darrell Scott.

Suzi began singing on children’s albums at the age of ten, and by the age of eleven, she was singing on publishing demos for songwriters. She performed in the chorus of her father Ray Stevens’ song “Everything Is Beautiful.”

Ragsdale sang background vocals for Guy Clark, Pam Tillis, Suzy Bogguss, Randy Travis, and Ian Tyson, among others. Ragsdale signed a publishing contract and began writing songs full-time in 1991.

From 1990 to 1999, Ragsdale worked with Verlon Thompson, releasing two duet albums on their own label VNS Records: Anything Goes (1993) and Out Of Our Hands (1995).

In 1998, Ragsdale released her first solo album, Future Past. Ragsdale lived in London, England, from 1999 to 2000, writing and performing in the UK and Europe.  She established her Stark Raven/Clyde Records label in 2007. She released two EPs, Best Regards (2009) and Less of the Same (2010).
