Elijah Wood Parents: Meet Warren Wood, Debra Krause

Elijah Wood’s parents are Warren Wood and Debra (née Krause) Wood. They are of English, Danish, Irish, and German ancestry. They operated a delicatessen together in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, where Elijah was born on January 28, 1981. The family moved to Los Angeles in 1989 when Elijah was 8 years old so that he could pursue an acting career. His parents divorced when he was 15.

Elijah has two siblings: an older brother named Zachariah and a younger sister named Hannah. He is close to his mother and sister, but he has said that he did not have a close relationship with his father for many years after their divorce. However, he has said that they have since reconciled and have a healthy relationship.

Elijah has spoken openly about his parents’ divorce and how it affected him as a child. He has said that he was “devastated” by the divorce and that it took him a long time to come to terms with it. However, he has also said that the divorce ultimately made him stronger and more independent.

Their son, Elijah Wood is an American actor and producer. Wood was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, on January 28, 1981. He began acting at the age of seven, appearing in local theater productions. He moved to Los Angeles with his family at the age of nine to pursue a career in film.

Wood’s breakthrough role came in 1992 when he starred in the film Radio Flyer. He went on to star in a number of other films, including The Good Son (1993), North (1994), Flipper (1996), The Ice Storm (1997), Deep Impact (1998), and The Faculty (1998).

He is best known for his portrayal of Frodo Baggins in The Lord of the Rings film trilogy and The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. Wood made his film debut with a small part in Back to the Future Part II.

Since The Lord of the Rings, Wood has starred in a number of other films, including Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (2004), Sin City (2005), Everything Is Illuminated (2005), and Bobby (2006). Wood is a vocal advocate for child actors’ rights. He is a member of the Screen Actors Guild’s (SAG) Performers for Children Committee. He is also a co-founder of the non-profit organization The Art of Elysium, which provides arts education and support to children in need.
