Who is Phillip Schofield’s Alleged Lover Matthew McGreevy?

Matthew McGreevy is an ITV showrunner who was allegedly in a relationship with Phillip Schofield who is 34 years his senior.

There have been online rumours that Phillip has known Matthew since he was 11 years old when he was a member of a local theatre group that Phillip supported.  Matthew Mcgreevy joined the 2Faced Theatre Company when he was 10 years old, At the time, Phillip Schofield was a Patron of the 2Faced Theatre Company.

According to available sources, Matthew McGreevy began to associate with Schofield through their involvement in the theatre group.  In May 2023, there was a revelation of an affair between Phillip Schofield and a younger male colleague during his time at This Morning.

Due to the blowback of the revelation, Phillip Schofield stepped down from the daytime TV show and acknowledged the existence of a “consensual on-off relationship” that took place while he was still married to his wife of three decades, Stephanie Lowe.

In his full statement, he told the Daily Mail, “I did have a consensual on-off relationship with a younger male colleague at This Morning.

“Contrary to speculation, whilst I met the man when he was a teenager and was asked to help him to get into television, it was only after he started to work on the show that it became more than just a friendship. That relationship was unwise, but not illegal. It is now over.
