Ray Lewis III was the son of former professional football player, Ray Lewis who played for the Baltimore Ravens throughout his 17 years in the National Football League.

Lewis III played at Lake Mary Prep High School in Florida as a running back; rushing for 1,898 yards, 20 touchdowns, 676 yards, and four touchdowns receiving during his senior season.
He played college football for the Miami Hurricanes, Coastal Carolina Chanticleers, and Virginia Union Panthers. He was reported dead by his younger brother, Rahsaan on his Instagram on Thursday, June 15, 2023, at the age of 28. His cause of death was not disclosed.
