Born to Pierre Castagne, Timothy grew up in a loving family alongside his two sisters, Noemie Castagne and Emmi Castagne. Hailing from Belgium, Castagne began his football journey in the youth system of neighborhood clubs such as US Waltzing and Lorrain Arlon. Eventually, he joined the youth teams of Standard Liège, where he honed his skills while still participating in games with Virton on the weekends.

In 2011, Castagne made a significant move to Genk after Standard Liège opted not to secure him on a long-term basis. Signing a three-year professional contract with Genk in June 2013, he made his Belgian Pro League debut on September 14, 2014, under the guidance of coach Alex McLeish. Castagne’s talent shone through, and he scored his first senior goal on May 2, 2015, in a resounding 7-1 victory for his team.

In July 2017, Castagne secured a €6 million contract to join Serie A club Atalanta. His time with Atalanta showcased his continued growth and skill development. He scored his first goal for the team on January 2, 2018, during a Coppa Italia match against Napoli. Throughout his tenure with Atalanta, Castagne amassed 96 appearances and scored eight goals across various competitions, leaving a lasting impact before bidding farewell.

On September 3, 2020, Castagne signed a five-year contract with Premier League side Leicester City. He made an immediate impact, becoming the fifth Belgian player in history to score on his Premier League debut. His first goal for Leicester City came on September 13, 2020, in a commanding 3-0 victory over West Bromwich Albion.

Castagne’s success extended to the international stage as well. He made his debut for the Belgian national team on September 7, 2018, against Scotland. Notably, he assisted former teammate Youri Tielemans, who now also plays for Leicester City, in a 3-1 victory against Russia during the UEFA Euro 2020 qualifiers on March 22, 2019.

Unfortunately, Castagne’s journey in the UEFA Euro 2020 tournament was cut short due to a bilateral eye socket fracture sustained during Belgium’s opening match against Russia on June 12, 2021. He had to withdraw from the competition to focus on his recovery.

Turning our attention to Castagne’s personal life, he is not married or engaged to his girlfriend, Camille Mélon, at the moment. As of now, he does not have any children.

As Timothy Castagne continues to make strides in his football career, fans will eagerly follow his journey both on and off the pitch. While he may not have children presently, his dedication to the sport and his relationships will undoubtedly shape his future.
