Ben Heaton, an English rugby league football player who played for Oldham, Halifax, Batley Bulldogs, and Hunslet, was a center, second row, or fullback. He died on June 22, 2023.

Before moving on to Halifax in the Betfred Championship, Heaton began his career with Oldham. He went on loan to the Batley Bulldogs while he was at Halifax.
Heaton committed to League 1 team Hunslet in October 2018 for a year.

Heaton made a comeback in the RFL Championship in September 2020, playing for his old team Oldham. He joined Higginshaw, a nearby amateur club, in 2022. Halifax Panthers made the announcement that Heaton had passed away on June 22 at the age of 33 on June 23, 2023. His death did not have a known reason.

An heartbreaking Facebook post from the Halifax Panthers revealed that Ben Heaton, a former player, had passed away unexpectedly last night, June 22, and that he had played for the team previously.

In a statement issued today, the club acknowledged the news and noted that he had worked there for seven years total during his career.
