Felix Kalu Nmecha is a German professional football player who now plays for VfL Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga and also represents the German national team.

Nmecha began his career at Manchester City, making his debut in the second leg of the EFL Cup semi-final against Burton Albion. Nmecha, who came on as a substitute in the 67th minute to replace Oleksandr Zinchenko, helped Manchester City to a 1-0 victory.

Another major achievement was his winning goal in the U18 Premier League Cup final versus Middlesbrough U18 on March 19, 2019.

Furthermore, Nmecha assisted Joo Cancelo in his UEFA Champions League debut for City on 3 November 2020, coming on as a substitute for Kevin De Bruyne in a 3-0 home win against Olympiacos in the group stage.

His contract with Manchester City, however, expired on 30 June 2021, resulting in his exit from the club.

Nmecha signed VfL Wolfsburg after leaving Manchester City, following in the footsteps of his brother Lukas, who also joined the same club.

Nmecha has represented both Germany and England at various youth international levels throughout his career, demonstrating his talent and promise. As a result, on March 17, 2023, he received his first call-up to the senior German national team for friendly matches.

Lukas Nmecha: Who Is Felix Nmecha’s Brother?

Lukas Okechukwu Nmecha, born 14 December 1998, is a German professional football player. He now plays forward for the Bundesliga club VfL Wolfsburg as well as the Germany national team.

Nmecha was born in Hamburg, Germany, but relocated to England with his family when he was a child. Despite having previously played at the same level for England, he made his debut for the Germany U21 national team, representing his birth country.

During a football tournament, Nmecha caught the attention of Manchester City’s primary school team in Wythenshawe. He spent nearly a decade in Manchester City’s junior system before making his debut in the EFL Cup on December 19, 2017.

During his debut, he scored the third penalty for Manchester City in their penalty shootout victory over Leicester City.

Nmecha made his Premier League debut on April 29, 2018, as a late substitution for Gabriel Jesus in a match against West Ham United at the London Stadium.

He was a member of Manchester City’s first-team squad during their preseason tour in the United States in 2018-19, when they competed in the 2018 International Champions Cup. Nmecha scored his first goal for the first squad on July 29, 2018, in a 3-2 win over Bayern Munich in a preseason friendly.
