Welsh actor Michael Christopher Sheen was born on February 5, 1969. He mostly worked in the theater during the 1990s after receiving his training at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) in London.

He played a variety of stage parts in plays like Romeo and Juliet (1992), Don’t Fool with Love (1993), Peer Gynt (1994), The Seagull (1995), The Homecoming (1997), and Henry V (1997).
He received Olivier Award nominations in 1998 and 1999 for his roles in Amadeus at the Old Vic and Look Back in Anger at the National Theatre. He received his third nomination for an Olivier Award in 2003 for his performance as Caligula at the Donmar Warehouse.
In the 2000s, Sheen’s reputation as a screen actor grew, thanks in large part to his parts in biographical movies. In a trilogy of movies directed by Peter Morgan, he played UK Prime Minister Tony Blair in The Deal (2003), The Queen (2006), and The Special Relationship (2010).

He received nominations for a BAFTA Award and an Emmy for these performances. In addition, he received a fourth Olivier Award nomination in 2006 for his performance as broadcaster David Frost in Frost/Nixon, a role he repeated in the 2008 film adaptation.
He was also nominated for a BAFTA for his portrayal of the troubled comic actor Kenneth Williams in BBC Four’s Fantabulosa! (2006). In The Damned United (2009), Sheen also portrayed the contentious football manager Brian Clough.
