Jerry Owen Bradley was born on January 30, 1940, in Nashville. In his youth, he enjoyed playing practical jokes. After serving in the military for two years, Jerry began working for his family’s music publishing business, Forrest Hills Music, when he made the decision to follow his father and uncle Harold into the music industry. In his father’s recording studio, Bradley’s Barn, which was built in 1965, he also began to learn how to produce and engineer records.
