Who Is Dara O’Shea?

Dara O’Shea is a professional footballer who formerly played for West Bromwich Albion, where he served as captain, making over 100 appearances.

The Irish-born player now plays the defensive position for Burnley and the Republic of Ireland national team.

Aside from West Brom and Burnley, Dara played on loan for Hereford, and Exeter City, where he appeared in 27 games.

Dara had moved to Burnley in 2023 on transfer, for a fee of £7 million.

At the international level, Dara has played for the Republic of Ireland’s under-19 and under-21 teams.

He made his debut for Ireland in 2016 and has since appeared in many international matches including UEFA European Championship and the UEFA Nations League B.

He joined the senior team in 2020, and in 2021, Dara was named FAI Young Player of the Year. So far, he has made 29 appearances for Ireland.
