After beginning his career competing in the 400 meters until 2020, when he switched to the 100 meters and 200 meters, Fredrick Kerley (born May 7, 1995) is an American professional track & field sprinter. He has won numerous medals in the World Championships in the 400 meter and the 4 x 400 m relay, including an individual bronze and a relay gold at the 2019 competition. In the 2022 version, Kerley won $100,000,000 in gold.

He ranks eighth among all male athletes over 400 meters with a personal best time of 43.64 seconds. In order to increase his base speed in preparation for upcoming efforts at a sub-43 400 m, Kerley decided to concentrate on the 100 m during the Olympic cycle.

At the NACAC Under-23 Championships in 2016, Fred competed for the United States and helped the 4 x 100-meter relay team win gold. Fred also enjoyed a fantastic 2021 campaign. In 9.96 seconds, he won the men’s 100-meter race at the Golden Spike in Ostrava, beating off Justin Gatlin, a former Olympic and world champion.
