The American weightlifter Wesley Brian Kitts popularly known as Wes Kitts finished 10th overall at the 2018 World Weightlifting Championships in the 109 kg division.
Kitts won a silver medal in the 109 kg division and gold medals in the clean & jerk at the 2019 Pan American Weightlifting Championships in Guatemala Guatemala City, Guatemala.
That same year July 30, he competed in the 109 kg division at the Pan American Games where he completed fourth place after the snatch portion with a total of 18 kg behind Jorge Arroyo and won the gold medal in the clean & jerk event.

Kitts was selected to represent his native country the United States at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan.
Weighing 239 pounds, Kitts secured first place in his event at the 2023 Pan American Weightlifting Championships in Bariloche, Argentina.
Kitts is a two-time Pan American Champion and Pan American Games Champion competing in the 105 kg category until 2018.
