Tanner Mordecai is an American football quarterback for the Wisconsin Badgers. He is the son of Micah and Leann Mordecai.

Additional information about his parents are not available. Mordecai went to Waco’s Midway High School. He passed for 4,797 yards and 51 touchdowns in his career.
He committed to play college football at the University of Oklahoma. Mordecai was a member of the Oklahoma football team from 2018 to 2020.
Tanner Mordecai appeared in 12 games for Oklahoma, completing 50 of 70 throws for 639 yards and four touchdowns. Mordecai transferred to Southern Methodist University in 2021.

In his debut start, he set a school record with seven passing touchdowns in a 56-9 win over Abilene Christian. Mordecai was named to the American’s All-Conference Second Team following the 2021 season.
Mordecai passed for a school-record 9 touchdowns against the Houston Cougars on November 5, 2022, 7 of which came in the first half. The Mustangs won 77-63, setting a new FBS record for the highest-scoring regulation game.
He was chosen The American’s offensive player of the week for his efforts. Mordecai declared his intention to transfer to the University of Wisconsin on December 30, 2022.
