Scott Barrett (born 20 November 1993) is a lock who presently competes for Taranaki in the Mitre 10 Cup and the Crusaders in Super Rugby. Barrett was selected to lead the Crusaders in Super Rugby in 2020.

Since his All Blacks debut against Ireland in 2016, Barrett has been in almost 60 tests for New Zealand. He was first chosen for the All Blacks in 2016.

Barrett earned a total of 3 appearances for the New Zealand Under 20 squad that competed in the 2013 IRB Junior World Championship in France. Barrett participated in all four tests of New Zealand’s final-round tour, starting in half of them.

Scott Barrett siblings are Jordie Barrett, Beauden Barrett, Kane Barrett, Blake Barrett, Zara Barrett, Jenna Barrett, and Ella Barrett.

Two of Scott’s four brothers, Beauden and Jordie, are All Blacks and Super Rugby players.  Scott Barrett began his rugby career at Francis Douglas Memorial College in his hometown of New Plymouth. He was raised in a family of rugby players, including his older brothers Beauden and Kane as well as his younger brother Jordie, who all went on to play professionally. Barrett currently competes for the All Blacks alongside his brothers Jordie and Beauden.
