The Ohio State Buckeyes’ tight end, Cade Stover, was born on June 12, 2000. Stover attended Lexington High School while living in Mansfield, Ohio, where he was raised.

As a senior, he ran for 1,477 yards and 17 touchdowns while compiling 163 tackles and four interceptions on defense, earning him the titles of Mr. Football of Ohio and Ohio Gatorade Player of the Year. Additionally, Stover broke the basketball scoring record for Lexington.

He turned down offers to play college football at Michigan, Oklahoma, Penn State, Texas, and Wisconsin in favor of Ohio State, where he was rated as a four-star recruit. Stover was originally recruited to play linebacker at Ohio State, but before the start of his freshman season, he was switched to defensive end.
