Aaron Lennon first attended City of Leeds High School, but changed to Boston Spa School because it was closer to Thorp Arch and allowed him to concentrate more easily on both his GCSE studies and his football career.

Aaron Lennon, who was only 19 years old and had never played at the senior level, received his first call-up to the England U21 team in October 2005, and on May 8, 2006, he was selected for the team that would represent England at the 2006 FIFA World Cup.
