American professional golfer Aaron Wise was created on June 21, 1996. He was born in Cape Town, South Africa, but when he was barely three years old, his family moved to Lake Elsinore, California. Wise graduated in 2014 from Corona’s Santiago High School. He chose to enroll at the University of Oregon in Eugene despite being heavily pursuing collegiate golf.

Wise won the NCAA individual championship while a student at the University of Oregon and contributed to the Ducks’ 2016 NCAA championship victory. After winning the NCAA title, he turned professional and made his U.S. Open debut, where he sadly missed the cut.
But he was successful right away in his professional career, taking home the Syncrude Oil Country Tournament on the PGA Tour Canada in just his third outing. He received a Web.com Tour card for the 2017 season and placed fourth on the Order of Merit.
Wise won the Air Capital Classic in Wichita, Kansas, in 2017, which helped him qualify for the PGA Tour for the following year. He received a promotion to the PGA Tour after placing 18th on the Web.com regular-season money list.

At the AT&T Byron Nelson in Texas in May 2018, Wise, then age 21, claimed victory in his maiden PGA Tour competition. At the brand-new Trinity Forest Golf Course in Dallas, he posted a final-round 65 for 261 (23), three strokes better than second-place Marc Leishman, who had been tied for the lead after 54 holes. With this victory, Wise’s ranking in the world rose from 99th to a career-high 66th. Moreover, he was named the PGA Tour Rookie of the Year for 2018.
