Abhishek Chatterjee, a popular Bengali actor, died in the early hours of Thursday at his home in Kolkata after suffering a catastrophic heart attack, according to family members.

Chatterjee, 58, had complained of stomach pains on Wednesday while filming a non-fiction show and was treated with saline at his Prince Anwar Shah Road home, according to sources.

He leaves behind a wife and a daughter.
