In an interview on Joy Prime’s 4Kids Paradise, Afronitaaa revealed that leaving the academy was a difficult decision for her, but she felt compelled to explore new opportunities as part of God’s plan for her life.
“Obviously, I wasn’t happy, but I’m someone who believes in God and His directions. So, I knew that it was God’s plan for my life. Even if I wasn’t happy, I had to accept it whether I liked it or not,” she explained.
Afronitaaa parted ways with DWP Academy in January 2024, a decision that was later confirmed by the academy in a press statement. They acknowledged the challenge of letting go of such a talented dancer.
Having joined DWP in 2018 at the age of 14, Afronitaaa quickly made a name for herself in the entertainment industry with her exceptional dancing skills.

A month after her departure, Afronitaaa, along with TV3 Talented Kids winner Abigail, made history as the first Ghanaian dancers to grace the stage of Britain’s Got Talent.
Their remarkable journey on the international stage garnered widespread praise from Ghanaians, who celebrated their achievement as a significant milestone for Ghana’s dance and entertainment sector.
Currently, Afronitaaa is pursuing her dreams by diligently working towards the establishment of her own dance academy for children, named Afrostar Kids Academy.
Set to launch on April 14, 2023, the academy aims to provide a nurturing environment for young dancers to develop their talents. Afronitaaa extends a warm invitation to parents interested in enrolling their children, expressing her enthusiasm for shaping the next generation of dance talent in Ghana.
