Alan Kirschenbaum, son of comedian Freddie Roman passed away by suicide on October 26, 2012, at age 51. He was found dead in his home in Burbank, California.

Born April 19, 1961, Alan was the son of stand-up comedian Freddie Roman and Ethel Kirschenbaum. He had a sister named Judi.
Alan attended high school in New City, New York in Rockland County. He then received a degree in marketing from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business in 1983.
Alan Kirschenbaum was a producer and writer, known for Yes, Dear (2000), Down the Shore (1992) and Stark Raving Mad (1999), Fugly 2007,), My Name Is Earl (2007-2009), and Friend Me (2012).

Apart from producing and writing, Alan Kirschenbaum was also engaged in the sport of harness racing. He worked as a racehorse trainer in college at Liberty Bell Race Track in Philadelphia and the Meadowlands Racetrack in northern New Jersey for three years and reporter/commentator for ESPN on their Breeders Crown broadcasts.
Kirschenbaum also served as an instructor for the UCLA Extension Writers Program.
Alan Kirschenbaum and his wife, actress Vicki Juditz, had a daughter named Molly.
