Zlatko Dalic’s team fell behind early, as Qazim Laci scored for Albania just 11 minutes into the match.
Croatia had a difficult time finding their rhythm in the first half, but they rallied in the second half to take the lead.

Andrej Kramaric leveled the score in the 74th minute, and then Albania’s Klaus Gjasula scored an own goal just two minutes later, handing Croatia a 2-1 lead.
However, Croatia’s defense faltered in the final moments. Despite their efforts to maintain their lead, they conceded a dramatic equalizer in the 95th minute, once again from Gjasula.
