American midfielder and captain of the Philadelphia Union in Major League Soccer Alejandro Bedoya was born on April 29, 1987.
On July 21, 2011, it was revealed that Bedoya had reached a personal agreement with Scottish side Rangers, subject to the issuance of a work permit, with the intention of joining in January 2012, when the Allsvenskan season had concluded. On August 17, 2011, Rebro SK and Rangers reached a deal for an unknown sum, allowing him to sign for Rangers right away.

In a Scottish Premier League game against Aberdeen on August 28, 2011, Bedoya made his debut as a second-half substitute. On May 2, 2012, he helped the Glasgow club secure second place with his debut goal for Rangers in a 5-0 victory over Dundee United.

Santino and Milena Bedoya are two of Alejandro Bedoya’s kids. He played college football with the Fairleigh Dickinson Knights from 2005 to 2006 while a student at Fairleigh Dickinson University (FDU). From 2007 to 2008, he transferred to Boston College and played for the Eagles.
