Alexander Wennberg is a Swedish professional ice hockey player for the Seattle Kraken of the National Hockey League (NHL). He is the son of Catherine Wennberg and Niclas Wennberg.

Wennberg was ranked fifth among all 2013 NHL Entry Draft eligible European skaters, and the Columbus Blue Jackets selected him 14th overall in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.
He made his NHL debut on October 9, 2014, against the Buffalo Sabres, recording his first NHL point in the process. Before joining the NHL, Wennberg played professionally in the Swedish Hockey League

During his time with the Columbus Blue Jackets, Wennberg established himself as a skilled playmaker and a reliable center. He was known for his strong passing ability and vision on the ice, making him effective at setting up scoring opportunities for his teammates.
In October 2020, Wennberg signed with the Florida Panthers as a free agent. As a free agent from the Panthers, Wennberg signed to a three-year, $13.5 million contract with the expansion club, the Seattle Kraken, on July 28, 2021.
