André Leon Talley was an American fashion journalist, stylist, creative director, and American editor-at-large of Vogue magazine. Leon Talley was born on October 16, 1948, in Washington, D.C., U.S. to Alma Ruth Davis and William C. Talley, a taxi driver.

Leon Talley had a difficult childhood. His parents left him with his maternal grandmother at a very young age. His maternal grandmother, Binnie Francis Davis worked as a cleaning lady at Duke University, in Durham, North Carolina.

What did Andre Talley die from?

Talley died at a hospital in White Plains, New York at the age of 73 on January 18, 2022. According to reports, he died of complications of COVID.

Leon Talley left his role as the judge of the supermodel Tyra Banks’ show America’s Next Top Model after serving from Cycle 14 to Cycle 17. He stated that it was a mutual agreement between both parties.
