Andrew Cogliano is a Canadian professional ice hockey player for the National Hockey League’s Colorado Avalanche (NHL). He previously played with the Edmonton Oilers, Anaheim Ducks, Dallas Stars, and San Jose Sharks.

Cogliano grew up in Woodbridge, Ontario, where he played minor ice hockey for the City of Vaughan Hockey Association and the Vaughan Rangers in the Ontario Minor Hockey Association (OMHA) before joining the AAA Vaughan Kings in the Greater Toronto Hockey League (GTHL).
With Vaughan, he competed in the 2001 Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament.
Cogliano was selected by the Toronto St. Michael’s Majors in the third round, 54th overall, in the 2003 Ontario Hockey League (OHL) Priority Selection.
