Anita Alvarez is a Mexican-American artistic and synchronized swimmer from New York.

Anita Alvarez was born on December 2, 1996, in Amherst, New York, the United States of Ametica. She hails originally from Buffalo, New York. Regarding her schooling, she attended Kenmore West Senior High School, from which she graduated in 2014.
Following her graduation, Anita Alvarez started her professional synchronized swimming career. She has competed in the women’s duet at the 2016 Summer Olympics along with Mariya Koroleva. She also competed at the 2015 World Championships in Kazan and at the 2014 Junior World Championships.

Anita Alvarez is a member of the USA Synchronized Swimming National Team. She qualified to represent the United States at the 2020 Summer Olympics and was named USA Synchro Athlete of the Year together with Mariya Koroleva in 2016 and in 2019.
Anita Alvarez was also named USA’s Artistic Swimming Athlete of the Year in 2021. She serves as the coach for Walnut Creek Aquanuts and under her clear supervision took them to the 2019 Junior Olympics in Buffalo, New York.
