On October 9, 1931, Anna Margaret Johnson was born in Smithfield, North Carolina.
Anna majored in painting at Richmond Professional Institute in Richmond, Virginia while working as a teacher at George Mueller Christian School in Miami, Florida.
Both a gifted musician and Bible instructor, Anna. She stayed involved in a variety of religious activities up until her illness started to limit her participation. She and her husband, Dr. Charles F. Stanley, performed volunteer work in North Carolina, Ohio, Florida, and Georgia.

A memorial ceremony for Anna Stanley was held on Thursday, November 13, 2014, at 7:00 p.m. at North Point Community Church, 4350 North Point Parkway, Alpharetta, Georgia.
Anna is survived by her son Andy, his wife Sandra, her daughter Becky, six grandchildren—Andrew, Garrett, Allie, Jonathan, Annie, and Matthew one great-grandchild William, and her daughter Becky, in addition to her two sisters, Elizabeth Sawrey and Dorothy Hulett.
