Bernard J. McGuirk was a radio personality in the United States who was a co-host at WABC in New York City with Sid Rosenberg.

McGuirk was married with two children Melanie and Brendan. The family resided in Long Beach, New York.

Bernard McGuirk died on October 5, 2022, at the age of 64, from brain cancer exacerbated by prostate cancer.

McGuirk joined WABC with late radio icon Don Imus in 2007, and his “personality from day one dramatically improved the camaraderie and morale of the entire radio station,” according to a station statement.

WABC president Chad Lopez described McGuirk as the “backbone of this entire radio station” in a heartfelt written statement. “A true gentleman, he is the fabric of the morning show, and he will be missed by all who knew and listened to him.”

McGuirk was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2021. McGuirk continued to work despite undergoing chemotherapy and suffering from appendicitis and pneumonia, according to WABC personality Curtis Sliwa.
