William Carvel Graham (Bill Graham), a Canadian lawyer, academic and politician who served as the minister of foreign affairs, minister of national defence, leader of the opposition and interim leader of the Liberal Party of Canada has died. He died on August 7, 2022 aged 83.

Graham was born on March 17, 1939 to parents Francis Ronald Graham Sr. and Helen Bailey.
Graham was born in Montreal, Quebec, and was raised there and also in Vancouver, British Columbia, in a wealthy family.

As mentioned earlier, Graham was the son of Helen (White) Bailey and Francis Ronald Graham Sr.
Graham’s father Francis Ronald Graham Sr., was a business magnate and Honorary Colonel of the Vancouver Gunners, and Bill was a product of the second marriages of both parents.
Graham’s mother divorced her first husband, Loring Bailey Sr., some months before Graham was born. However, at this moment, the details are quite sketchy.
Graham’s paternal grandparents were Protestant Irish immigrants.
